1,000 Awakenings: #3 with Sheri Rosenthal

Reading Time: 3 minutes

I’m so excited to introduce you to Sheri Rosenthal. Sheri is currently a business coach, international retreat leader and author. Yes, that’s right. Pretty dreamy work, right?

In her previous life she was a podiatric surgeon, and she left behind a successful practice, a surgical residency program (which she personally designed and directed) and a couple of husbands to find her life’s calling.

Sheri spent eight years traveling, meditating and studying ancient traditions of spiritual evolution (with don Miguel Ruiz) — and writing three books on personal growth and consciousness.

This is a special interview. I trust that you’ll be inspired by Sheri and her wisdom. Enjoy!

Q: What does it mean to you to live an awakened life?

To be fully present in every moment. It’s that simple.

Q: What put you on the path of awakening?

Pain. I was suffering and unhappy and I needed to find a way to change that before I died a physical death.

Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone about deepening their connection to themselves and their spirituality?

Be 100% honest with yourself. Hanging onto your old stories, beliefs and perspectives are no longer helping you and they never have.

Q: If you could wave a magic wand and everyone on planet earth would wake up with one quality or ability, what would that be?

A silent mind – without a doubt. No internal dialogue – no more judgment. No more judgement – no more war.

Q: What’s the biggest difference in yourself from your pre-awakened state and your current awakened state?

Awareness. Just being able to see what I am doing and what I am creating makes all the difference. That awareness has taken me from being a victim of my own life to being the director of my life.

Q: What would constitute a perfect day to you? Can you describe it for us?

Just being with the people who love me. It’s all about the love. However, I also love to travel, so being somewhere new and magical would be a great second best perfect day. And if I was traveling with the people I love….

Q: Do you have a favorite book you can recommend to readers?

The Four Agreements without a doubt.

Q: What’s the best way for folks to connect with you? Include website and/or social handles or any other ways of connecting.

Q: Tell us a little about your work.

Today, most folks find me because they need help with their retreats — I’m currently a retreat strategist for coaches, speakers, and authors — and I’m the owner of Journeys of the Spirit Travel®, a boutique agency specializing in the planning and management of group travel.

Through our Wanderlust Entrepreneur Community and our Retreat Blueprint Program, we’ve taught thousands of facilitators how to design exceptional experiential retreats that allow them stand out in their niche and live their purpose and passion. I love helping clients plan, fill, and profit from transformational retreats that change lives in a huge way while adding serious income to their bottom line!
